Upload custom high-definition images to represent each of your key services in the rotating header slideshow.
The video plays once at the top of the homepage (the progress bar sweeps all the way across while it runs), then the 5 slides play through as normal, then it loops back to the video. It is always muted. MP4, 25MB max — keep it short (10–20 seconds) so the page stays fast on phones.

44 years of craftsmanship, brought online for the first time.
01 — The Challenge
Northampton Nursery, LLC. — a 44-year heritage landscaping firm trusted across the Delaware Valley — had zero digital presence. Their reputation was built on word-of-mouth and Google Reviews while competitors captured leads with polished websites.
They needed a platform matching the craftsmanship of their outdoor work — organic and premium, not templated. It had to showcase 2,500+ projects across five service divisions and convert visitors into consultation requests.

We architected a Light Forest design system on a cool-neutral slate scale anchored by a desaturated forest accent. Typography pairs Outfit at 400/600 with Playfair Display for editorial emphasis.

We built the site as a multi-page vanilla HTML/CSS/JS application — no framework bloat, instant page
loads, perfect SEO. Each of the 8 pages (Home, About, 5 Services, Projects, News, Contact) shares a
unified styles.css design system with 128 CSS custom properties.
Content is driven by Firebase Firestore for project showcases and homepage image overrides, with Cloud Functions (Gen 2) powering a server-side contact form pipeline via Gmail API. The admin dashboard provides full CRUD for projects, image uploads, and featured project curation.

Everything you need to know about managing your website. Click any section below to expand it.
Welcome to your Northampton Nursery Content Dashboard! This is where you manage everything that appears on your website — blog posts, project photos, service page images, leads, and more.
The stat cards at the top of the page give you a quick snapshot of your content — how many posts you have, how many projects, etc.
The sidebar is organized into groups: Your Content (newsletter posts, projects, testimonials), Edit Your Website (the words and photos on every page), and System (Constant Contact and the activity log).
This is where you change the words on your website — headlines, descriptions, buttons, almost everything.
How to Edit
- Open Website Text in the sidebar
- Pick a page from the Editing dropdown (the fields are grouped by section, top of the page first)
- Type your new wording — what's in each box is exactly what's on the site right now
- Click Save & Publish — the website updates within seconds
Business Info
The first choice in the dropdown, ⭐ Business Info, holds your phone number, email, and address. Change them once there and every page updates — the menu, the footer, and the Contact page all at the same time.
The Newsletter tab is your blog hub. Posts appear on the News and Tailgate Talk pages of your website.
Adding a New Post
- Click the "Add New Post" button
- Enter a title (required)
- Optionally add a Link URL — if you have a Constant Contact newsletter, paste the link here and visitors will be sent to read it there
- Add a Short Description — this is the preview text that shows on the card
- Write the Full Body if you want the full article on your site (you can use the toolbar to bold text, add links, and create lists)
- Upload a Cover Image (optional, max 5MB)
- Click "Publish"
Editing or Deleting
- Click the pencil icon ✏️ on any post to edit it
- Click the trash icon 🗑️ to delete — you'll be asked to confirm
This page connects your Constant Contact account to your website. When you send a newsletter or Tailgate Talk through Constant Contact, it can be automatically imported here.
How It Works
- Click "Connect Constant Contact" if you haven't already
- Log into your Constant Contact account when prompted
- Once connected, you'll see a green status dot
- Click "Sync Now" to pull in your latest campaigns
What Gets Synced
- Newsletter campaigns become Dispatch posts
- The sync is smart — it won't create duplicates
- You can see the sync history log at the bottom of the page
Every time someone fills out the contact form on your website, it shows up here as a lead.
What You'll See
- Name and email of the person
- Their message or inquiry
- The date they submitted it
- What service they're interested in (if they selected one)
This is your portfolio — add completed projects to show off your work to potential customers.
Adding a Project
- Click "Add New Project"
- Fill in the Title, Location, and select a Category
- Write a short Description of the work
- Optionally add Sq Ft and Days to complete
- Upload a project photo (required)
- Click "Publish Project"
Featuring Projects
Each project has two special buttons:
- ⭐ Star — Adds the project to its service page (e.g., a landscaping project appears on the Landscaping page)
- 🏠 House — Features the project on the homepage showcase
Each service page (Landscaping, Hardscaping, Maintenance, etc.) has a set of service cards. Here you can change each card's name, photo, and description, plus the page's hero image.
How to Edit
- Select the service page from the dropdown
- You'll see all the cards for that page
- Hover over any image and click to upload a replacement photo
- Edit the name and description below the image
- Click "Save" on the card when you're done
This controls the images on your homepage:
General Tips
- Images: Always use JPG, PNG, or WebP. Keep them under 5MB. Landscape orientation works best for most places on the site.
- Changes are live immediately — once you save or publish, the website updates within seconds.
- Refresh the page if something looks off or if data doesn't load.
- You can access this dashboard from any device — computer, tablet, or phone.
Common Questions
Q: I uploaded an image but it's not showing on the website?
A: Try refreshing the website page. Your browser may be showing a cached (old) version. If it still doesn't show after a minute, try clearing your browser cache or opening the site in a private/incognito window.
Q: Can I undo a delete?
A: No — once you confirm a deletion, the content is permanently removed. Always double-check before deleting!
Q: My Constant Contact sync isn't working?
A: Go to the Constant Contact page (under System in the sidebar) and check if the connection is still active (green dot). If it shows disconnected, click "Connect Constant Contact" to re-authorize.
